Art, a simple three letter word, or is it? For those of us who are artist, that three letter word can be fascinating, intriguing, creative, depressing, hurtful, stressful, or any other number of words, feelings, and expressions. Many artist experience great emotions, and those emotions come out in their art. This is true not only with artist as we are looking at in this section, but also artist who write poetry, music, and books too, but we'll cover them in another section of this site later.

As I just stated, many artist are the recipients of depression, and all sorts of pain in their lives. Have you noticed though, the great beauty of these artist work? How can so much beauty can come out of so much pain? That has always amazed me, and it seems to be so very true.

We are going to look at all the different types of art, art terms, mediums, etc. Then we will look at different artist that have become famous, and not so famous over the last few hundred years. This will be a work in progress, as it is going to take a very long time to gather all the info I want to put here, and it will take even longer to type it all out and put all my thoughts into words with pictures and whatever else I can find. I hope you will follow this progress as it grows!
