Dan and I both have always loved music, and I enjoy drama, so it only makes sense that we would come up with a site called Music And The Arts. My love for music began as a very young child, but I was always afraid to let anyone hear me. I sang in choirs in high school, and took drama classes, and I was a member of a Freelance Repertory group in the 9th grade. I left all that behind after high school and became a wife and mother. Then in 2003, (8 children later), I joined our Church choir and did my first solo. I enjoyed it so much that I started singing solos every Sunday that our choir director would let me. Then in 2005 I got involved with the local community theatre and was cast in the musical Godspell. That was an awesome experience and brought back my long lost love for the theatre. Since Godspell I have done costumes for four plays at the community theatre, "Wait Until Dark", "Something Funny Happened On The Way To The Forum", "The Crucible", and "Harvey". All four plays were great fun even though I was not in them, it still was a joy to be in the theatre and work with all the actors.
Dan was surrounded by music from his dad being a choir conductor, and playing instruments. Dan started playing piano as a young boy, but enjoyed drums more, and eventually went to guitar. He also enjoys singing, and still plays piano a little.
We both love singing together, and would love to be part of a quartet some day.
Another thing I've always enjoyed is crafting, yes this is an art as well, and one you will find here as well. I especially enjoy designing and creating jewelry, especially with gold and silver wire, and Swarvoski Crystals. I will also be putting some other crafts I do on this site, as well as some of my husbands art work, (he's really good). So check back often, because this site will grow, and grow, and grow.
We also have a shopping mall page, where you can shop for music related items, art and craft related items, and so much more.
